The 20-Year Comprehensive Plan is the compiled vision of citizens, land owners, and the business community for the future of Three Lakes. Data was collected for nearly a three-year period from the Business and Residential Surveys in 2008 (see below), over fifty public meetings, five Community Forums (see below), and written correspondence. OMNNI Associates of Appleton, the Town's contracted strategic planning partner, then sorted this information into Chapters that remained in draft form until October 25, 2009. The final Chapters appeared for public inspection leading up to the Public Hearing on Thursday, December 3, 2009. Based upon the recommendation of the Three Lakes Plan Commission as provided for in State Statute 66.1001 to adopt the Comprehensive Plan, the Town of Three Lakes Board of Supervisors approved the Comprehensive Plan as law on December 15, 2009 (Ordinance to Adopt Comprehensive Plan).
